About
Write.as is a distraction-free blogging platform that prioritizes writing over content management. It allows users to publish essays, newsletters, and journals without signing up or creating complex website structures. The platform supports Markdown and Rich Text editing, automatic saving, and easy publishing to the web, social media, and RSS feeds. It integrates with the fediverse via ActivityPub, allowing readers to follow blogs on platforms like Mastodon. Users can customize their presence with custom domains and themes, and maintain privacy through anonymous posting or password-protected blogs. The service is ad-free and offers export options, including self-hosting via the open-source WriteFreely software.
